Top Notch, impeccable, service!! 5 stars is not high enough. We just buried our very young father. Jim Scanlin, hands down made the event so much more powerful then I ever thought it could be. Thanks for such a great memory of my father Jim.
Jim Scanlin is the very best. He buried my husband back in September and my father-in-law a number of years ago. He went above and beyond with his service. Because of how sick my husband was we thought we would have to have a closed casket but because of Jim's amazing work we were able to have an open casket. He has even called to check in with our family several times to see how we were doing and to see if he could help with anything. Thank you Jim for everything that you have done for our family at our time of loss! We will never forget you and your thoughtfulness!
When my aunt passed suddenly we had no idea what to do and how to handle things. The police officer told us to call a funeral home so we called Scanlin who is local to near where my aunt lived. From then on Jim Scanlin and his team made everything happen seamlessly and quietly for us. They directed us without being pushy, made any changes - even those made at the last minute - without making us feel like we were being burdensome. They are all lovely people and we all felt very cared for. They were a Godsend. We can never thank them enough for truly helping us thru a very difficult time.
Jim Scanlin did an excellent job on my father's funeral this summer. He was very caring and sensitive to all my questions and concerns. His prices were competitive and fair and he offered many options that suited our budget. Jim was able to point out things we didn't think about and offer suggestions that made a difficult time much easier to manage. About 7 years ago he also took care of my mother's funeral with the same quality service. I would highly recommend his services to anyone.

He makes sure options, procedures, prices and preferences are well reviewed with the client and understood before anything is signed. He attends virtually every funeral he oversees personally to make absolutely sure everything goes according to plan. This is something many funeral directors don't do and demonstrates a consistent commitment to excellence. The quality of his work on a loved one's remains is really superb - in fact he is the preferred provider for our church, so I know his work is consistently excellent. Needless to say, I chose him for my mother's funeral as well. Jim also follows up after the funeral and business transaction is over - a nice touch and another example of his good service. I highly recommend Jim and his team.
